About Margaret
I have been a full-time EFL lecturer at ²ÝùÊÓƵ since 2016 working with international students across all three Faculties and with the university's trans-national education (TNE) partnerships, especially NSBM Sri Lanka. In recognition of my international achievements, I received the VC award for International Engagement in 2022 for providing 'high-quality provision which is hugely diverse and demonstrates a real commitment to deliver a positive impact.'
As a Module lead, I teach and have taught modules both on the UoP campus (ELC316), and for Malaysia (MAL3035), and Hong Kong (ELC314HK). I also collaborate on Environmental Science and Business modules. Each year I am involved with the running of our summer pre-sessional course and also teach on it. My teaching includes the UPIC Foundation Health Professionals course, the UoP summer school, TESOL teacher training course, inductions, workshops and tutorials.
My main research interest is Effective Communication skills, which has resulted in two published journal articles and various conference presentations both in the UK and abroad.
